The Province of British Columbia will experience significant changes in climate over the next several decades. Energy modelling for future climate scenarios is now an important step in building design that helps design teams and owners understand how a changing climate will impact a building’s energy performance, equipment sizing, and comfort conditions. With a focus on Step Code Buildings, this presentation will include an introductory approach to analyzing a building’s performance with respect to overheating.
