This event will focus on Part 3 buildings under the new BC Energy Step Code, and how energy modelling is involved in meeting the new requirements.  The presentation will be targeted towards architects and developers who are familiar with these building types.

After a brief introduction, we will cover the basic Step Code requirements, focusing on Part 3 buildings in Climate Zone 4.  We will spend some time discussing the Energy Modelling Guidelines that govern the simulations used to demonstrate compliance with the Step Code.  A sample project will be reviewed to demonstrate real world experiences, before we wrap up with a summary of key take-aways and additional resources.  Time will also be allocated for questions and discussion.
