IBPSA BC: Energy Efficiency Working Group Consultation #1

EEWG Meeting #1

The Province of British Columbia’s Building Safety Policy Branch Energy Efficiency Working Group (EEWG) was struck in September of this year to look at the current policy landscape with regards to building energy efficiency in BC and look at opportunities to go beyond building code. The EEWG will be making recommendations to the ministry responsible for the building code in 2016. There are some recommendations being contemplated that concern energy modelling in commercial and multifamily buildings. This event, hosted by IBPSA BC, is intended to get feedback from members to help better inform these recommendations.

Susan Hayes (Focal Engineering) is the Chair of the BC Chapter of IBPSA Canada, and is a participant in the Energy Efficiency Working Group.
