Victoria Emissions Reduction Programs
Victoria is one of the first municipalities in British Columbia to adopt Zero Carbon Step Code Level 4 ahead of the provincial schedule. The programs focus on electrification, energy efficiency, and embodied carbon reduction to drive deep, lasting emissions cuts across the built environment.
Focal Engineering was retained by the City of Victoria as part of a consulting team with Origin Sustainable Design & Planning and Advicas Group to evaluate program pathways, carbon reduction strategies, and defining scalable steps to support effective policy implementation.
